Halsol-S Ointment is a topical medicine composed of Ulobetasol and Salicylic Acid. It is used to treat psoriasis (a skin condition that causes red, itchy scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp). This medicine works by reducing the production of chemical substances that cause swelling and itching. Halsol-S Ointment can cause side effects like exfoliation of skin (removal of dead skin), redness, and irritation at the site of application. Most of these side effects are temporary and resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Halsol-S Ointment is for external use only. Apply this medicine to the affected area as directed by your doctor. Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor, as your symptoms may reoccur or worsen. Halsol-S Ointment is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it and in children below the age of 18 years. Inform your doctor about all your current medicines and pre-existing medical conditions before starting the treatment with Halsol-S Ointment. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
